n the past we’ve introduced you to some of the members of Urban Solutions team, but we thought it was time for you to meet some of our most loyal customers to hear why they choose to use us.
This time, our customer of the month is Jamie Hartman, lead singer of top band Ben’s Brother.
How did you come to use Urban Solutions for the first time?
I own a flat in W9 and have known Urban Solutions’ founder Derren for many years, so it made sense to get his guys in when work needed doing. I’m moving to Los Angeles this month, but I’m going to give my new tenant the company’s number, so if any problems do arise I know someone reliable will take care of it. I trust the boys 100 per cent to do a good job, not to do anything other than what is necessary and also to keep me informed without putting the problem back on me. That gives me peace of mind.
Where did the name of your band originate from?
My brother, who, of course, is called Ben, didn’t like our original name, so when he hawked a few of our CDs around in the early days and made his friends listen to them, they all referred to us as Ben’s Brother’s Band. It just kind of stuck from there.
What advice would you give any budding singer-songwriters?
Play your music to people and hear their reactions. Really listen to what they have to say. If everyone’s telling you they love it and they want to hear more, well then, you’re on the right track. If they look at you when you finish playing and say: “Nice” and don’t want to hear any more then maybe think about earning a living in some other way! It really is that simple. But if people do love what you do and want to hear the songs again and again, stick at it and don’t give up until you make it.
